Our Chili's Night Out!

I was so excited when Chili’s contacted me to try out their new menu items, but even better when they gave me a $50 Gift Card to giveaway to  my readers!  This weekend I took the $50 Chili’s Gift Card they sent me and my family and I headed over to try out the new menu items. We don’t go out to eat often, especially with small children, but I was very excited not to cook or clean up. Can you tell?

We have two little ones under 5, which can sometimes be a challenge when eating out, but it was very kid friendly.  In fact, all the servers and staff were so attentive and helpful with the kids.  Their children’s menu was pretty big and it had some great healthy selections that I don’t see much.  My kids love black beans and mandarin oranges, and both of those were kids menu side options!

I was a server myself for seven years and I know how it is working for tips and the higher your bill the more you make.  I was so pleasantly surprised when we asked our server what he recommended and he said the hamburgers were the best!  Usually in order to get the check average high, most servers recommend the most expensive thing on the menu.  There weren’t many expensive menu items, in fact most items on their menu were around $7.99, which makes it easy on the pocketbook.

We went with his recommendation and we both had a hamburger, doesn’t it look good?
